The track-focused Shelby GT350 variant of the “S550” Ford Mustang is notable for its special V8 engine which employs a flat-plane crank and a unique crankpin configuration and firing order. It also has upgraded aerodynamics, a revised suspension, and various lightweight components compared to the Mustang GT resulting in a highly competent muscle car for the track.
This Shelby GT350 is powered by a “Voodoo” 5.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, the only transmission available on the GT350.

According to the former owner, the engine swap was performed after the stock engine failed at approximately 29,000 miles in March 2019 due to excessive oil consumption. The former owner decided to install a second-generation Voodoo V8 from model year 2019 or newer due to its various upgrades, including a recast block, recast cylinder heads, and an improved valvetrain.
The former owner notes that no oil consumption issues have been experienced since the engine swap.
